Three is the magic number for Smith Cooper

Midlands accountancy and business advisory firm Smith Cooper have today announced three professionals from their Derby, Nottingham and Birmingham offices will be admitted into the firm’s partnership.

Sarah Flear whose previous role was Director of Audit has over 20 years experience working across a range of sectors including manufacturing, construction and engineering. Sarah also heads-up the firms extremely successful multi-capability Academies team.

Michelle Mackenzie-Cooper based in the Derby office has a vast amount of experience in advising and supporting businesses throughout both boom and lean periods. Her 20 years of funding experience means she is well versed in finding the best solutions for businesses from an independent stand point.

Ed Saunders, previously Tax Director based in Birmingham has over 20 years of experience in tax and is responsible for managing tax compliance and tax consulting projects. Whilst having experience in a broad range of tax matters, Ed is particularly knowledgeable in corporate and personal tax planning, share schemes, research & development tax credits, group structuring and international tax.

The new promotions will be effective as of 1st July.

The partner promotions come at a busy time for Smith Cooper who have recently relocated 2 of their 6 Midlands based offices and who have already seen a raft of new recruits for various service lines as well as a number of exciting new clients, including Derby County Football Club.
