With the May 2018 deadline quickly approaching, the pressure is on for businesses to ensure they are fully compliant with the EU General Data Protection Regulation.
Despite its inevitability, many questions still remain, including exactly what needs to be done, by who, and by when.
To address these concerns, Smith Cooper group company Infuse Security hosted a series of seminars across the Midlands to not only update businesses on GDPR, but to put a stop to any scaremongering and support businesses on their journey to compliance.
Infuse Security firmly believe knowledge and preparation are the key factors in regulatory compliance, and as a result the seminars considered three main topics:
- GDPR and information data security
- GDPR Internally
- How GDPR affects you contacting your customers and targets
Attendees left the event equipped with a detailed insight into GDPR and a framework of how to prepare for it, alongside guidance on secure data, and the impacts of that GDPR will have on employers and businesses.
We’d like to extend a big thank you to everyone who attended the events, and we hope any concerns were appropriately address.
