Last night, friends, colleagues and intermediaries alike were invited to a drinks reception to celebrate the promotion of Michael Roome, who has been appointed Partner within our Business Recovery & Insolvency team.

The event took place at Saltbox, Nottingham, and guests were treated to an array of delicious canapes throughout the evening.

The Business Recovery and Insolvency team at Smith Cooper have enjoyed a year of phenomenal success – In the past year alone, Beth Naqwi passed two Level 4 exams, achieving over 90% in both and achieving the highest score of any 3AAA apprentice in her Budgeting exam. Both Kimberley Wapplington and Connor Gratton attained their CPI qualifications, with Connor finishing 2nd in the UK in his CPI qualifications and was also shortlisted for the Rising Star of the Year at the TRI awards. Michael Roome himself attained his IP license, and most recently the team have been named Regional Insolvency Team of the Year at the highly regarded TRI awards.
