Smith Cooper advised Links Foods Limited on their sale (an operator of a Wiltshire Farm Foods franchise) to Fairfield Capital Partners, a Newco set up by private investors for the purpose.
Independent frozen meal delivery business, Links Food, was sold to private investors in a deal initiated and project managed by Smith Cooper.
Links Foods, operating a Wiltshire Farm Foods business, is the UK’s leading frozen meal home delivery service, delivering nutritionally balanced ready-made meals throughout the UK.
Wiltshire Farm Foods is owned by apetito, a German company with £500m turnover and 8,000 employees in Germany, UK, France, Netherlands and Canada, which manufactures meals for institutions such as hospitals, care home groups and local authorities.
The transaction broke new ground for the brand in the UK, being the first arm’s length deal between independent buyers and sellers.
