Smith Cooper masterminded and project managed the sale of Humberside based Grayton Engineering, which specialises in delivering structural and mechanical engineering solutions to industry, to P.J. Douglas, the Castle Donington based mechanical engineer.
Smith Cooper had been working with the owners of Grayton for some time to assist them with their succession plans and identified the purchaser significantly ahead of the time planned for the company to go to market.
The two former shareholders both remained with the business. Smith Cooper approached the purchaser, negotiated the deal and then project managed it through to completion.
