Smith Cooper and Fly By Nite make sweet music together Wednesday, 25th November 2009
Appointing a new firm of business advisors and accountants has been music to the ears of a Redditch company, which supplies transport solutions to some of the biggest names in the music industry worldwide.
Fly By Nite Conferences Limited, which supplies specialist vehicles and drivers to the music, entertainment, corporate and exhibition industries from its four acre site in Redditch, appointed Birmingham-based accountants and business advisors Smith Cooper earlier this year ahead of what it expected to be a busy year.
Fly by Nite has enjoyed its most successful year in its 20 year history, touring with the likes of Rhianna, Nickelback, Snow Patrol, the Killers and the Prodigy.
And the experience and wealth of knowledge that Smith Cooper has been able to share with the company has enabled them to cope with its sustained growth and make strategic plans for the future.
A busy touring schedule, coupled with a hectic festival period has seen Fly By Nite enjoy a highly successful year. During the last year the company had has transported equipment for 54 bands and artists to locations all over the world.
The management team of Dave Coumbe, Carl Reed And Sharon Reed has worked closely with Jeremy Cope lead partner of Smith Cooper in Birmingham on its business plan and growth strategy.
A major capital investment programme undertaken by the company means that Fly by Nite now boasts a 60 strong fleet of vehicles and one of the largest fleets of Meagacube trailers and 25 tonne vehicles in the business.
The company’s state of the art facility in Redditch incorporates a storage area with individual secured cages for backline equipment in addition to a heated warehouse facility for items such as set and theatre props.
