Place of supply of international services

The Place of Supply of International Services Rules are changing as from 1 January 2010. If you trade with any country in the EC, you could be affected by these changes, which will also see a requirement for:

• Mandatory validation of EC VAT numbers (Europa website)
• Mandatory commercial evidence on EC customers
• Currency conversion on invoices
• Reverse Charge invoicing and accounting of on VAT return
• EC Sales list (ESCL's) for both Services (quarterly from 01/01/10) plus
• EC Sales list for Goods - reduction in deadline from 6 weeks to 14 days paper / 21 Electronic returns
