I graduated from the University of Manchester in 2009 and joined Smith Cooper in 2013, recently qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with the ICAEW. For the past four years I have been working in the audit division of Smith Cooper where I have gained considerable experience of many businesses of varying sizes and operating in a wide range of different industries. More recently I have been leading teams responsible for the audit fieldwork, often to tight reporting deadlines.
What can I do for your business?
As part of the Smith Cooper Corporate Finance team, I can offer an efficient and highly professional service in order to achieve the best possible results in whatever transaction you are undertaking.
I am a qualified ACA Chartered Accountant with practical experiences ranging from business management and development to tax, accounts and further industry experience. I am very proud to be part of the highly experienced and successful Corporate Finance team.
Immediately after graduating I moved to South Africa where I set up and ran my own business in the leisure industry. I had a rapid induction into not only business skills, but also legislation and culture in a different country. Whilst hard work, the experience of establishing, growing and then successfully selling the business gave me invaluable exposure to the issues facing many of our clients. I consider myself fortunate to be able to bring many of these skills to my advisory role with Smith Cooper.
I am a keen pianist and flautist and perform regularly with the Nottingham Symphonic Wind Orchestra as well as with other Nottingham-based ensembles on an ad-hoc basis.
