I am manager of the accounts team in the Derby office. I have over 14 years experience in the accountancy profession and in this time have gained a wealth of experience acting for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and not profit organisations across a range of sectors.
What can I do for your organisation?
My role is to look to the future and provide proactive advice so that owners can adapt their businesses accordingly. I pride myself on working alongside clients and encourage regular contact so as to ensure that this happens, this enables me to have an insight into the business and really understand the needs of the owners/directors. I can help with any aspect of the finance function from day to day bookkeeping to the preparation and submission of the financial statements and corporation tax return. I like to look at the bigger picture and provide advice for not only the company but also the directors personally.
Prior to joining Smith Cooper in 2006, I worked for a medium sized practice in Leicester, I qualified as a chartered accountant in 2007 and have been involved in various assignments in this time including due diligence, business disposals/acquisitions and forecasting alongside the day to day general practice accounts work.
I have in depth knowledge the various accounting software packages available including Sage, Quickbooks and Xero and could make recommendations based on individual client needs.
I am kept busy outside of work looking after my two you children, I enjoy travelling and sharing new experiences with them. I also enjoy socialising with friends and family.
