I am a Partner based in the firm’s Derby office. I am a Chartered Accountant, auditor and business advisor with particular expertise within healthcare, academies and manufacturing sectors.
What can I do for your organisation?
I manage a varied portfolio of clients for audit/accounts purposes and offer business advice on a number of areas, from financial management through to refinancing, restructuring and acquisitions.
Since joining Smith Cooper in 2009, I have worked with a range of clients from small owner managed businesses to companies with turnover in excess of £100m.
I have progressed quickly with three consecutive promotions, with the most recent promotion taking me to Partnership level about after taking responsibility for a portfolio of audit clients and a number of advisory assignments including acquisitions, restructuring and refinancing.
I graduated from Manchester University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in August 2012 where my hard work and excellent exam results won me the prestigious Strachan Prize for finishing 4th in the International Order of Merit.
Since joining the firm, I have gained a specialism in dealing with complicated business advisory assignments, such as the £16.5m refinancing of a care home client, turnaround and restructuring of a domiciliary care business, together with various IBR assignments. My relationship with clients teamed with my knowledge has led to me becoming a trusted go-to advisor at a very young age.
In my spare time I enjoy watching and playing sport including golf, racquetball and football, and am a passionate Derby County supporter. I also take an active involvement in charity work taking part in a number of events, fundraisers and running the London Marathon to raise money for my chosen charity.
