I am a Business Advisory Partner, based in the firm’s Derby office. I provide advice on all challenges faced by owner managed businesses such as business and financial strategy, growth and succession planning, commercial negotiations, acquisitions and disposals.
What can I do for your organisation?
I provide “boardroom level” support and advice to help business owners assess, plan and execute their business strategy.
I am a fully qualified accountant and I joined Smith Cooper in 2009 having previously worked for Cooper Parry. I spent much of my early career in the corporate recovery field, working with underperforming, distressed and illiquid owner managed businesses.
This grounding has given me invaluable full business lifecycle experience meaning that whether your business is currently experiencing sunshine or showers, there’s never a business situation or challenge outside of my knowledge spectrum or understanding.
Whilst I enjoy the constant variety and challenge involved in working alongside business owners from all industry sectors, I have specific experience in working with clients in healthcare, manufacturing, retail and professional services.
Outside work, my wife and I are kept busy and entertained by our son, daughter and daft cocker spaniel. Whilst this leaves me with less time to pursue my sporting interests, I still manage to play the occasional competitive round of golf and also manage to visit the home of football “Pride Park” several times a season.
