Three employees from Smith Cooper in Burton helped raise money for the Anthony Nolan Trust by completing a sponsored walk challenge.
Smith Cooper Directors Robert Hives and Shamim Akhtar along with Lee Frost, Director of Business Services in Burton joined fellow professionals on a 16-mile walk along the Trent Mersey Canal tow path from Burton to Derby. The amount raised so far is £2615.
The walk, organised by the Barclays Business Team in Burton upon Trent, took place on Tuesday 13 May 2014. It followed a picturesque route from Burton Train Station to Derby Train Station with a couple of stops off for beverages along the way! The weather was fairly kind until the walkers hit the suburbs of Derby where a heavy downpour tried to dampen their spirits but not to be deterred and with the incentive of a drink in the Brunswick at the end of their journey they all managed to complete the walk in around 6 hours.
