Posted on 14 July 2017

Stoke based ADB Alarms Limited, a Security Systems Alarm Inspection Board (SSAIB) approved security installation business has been sold after entering administration on 26th June 2017. The sale rescues 14 jobs at the family run organisation, which has been trading for over 25 years.

Smith Cooper was engaged to assist in the sale of the business and its assets, and were contacted by a total of 13 interested parties on the back of their through marketing campaign. Ultimately, the business and assets of the company have been acquired by ADB Alarms Group Limited, a profitable, progressive, nationwide organisation which has experienced considerable growth due to its respectable reputation in the field and loyal customer base.

ADB Alarms Group Limited provides security and fire solutions and is recognised throughout the UK, particularly with many police and fire authorities. It prides itself on the provision of high level customer service to all clients, large or small, commercial or domestic and their competitive pricing strategy within the market.

Partners Dean Nelson and Nick Lee were appointed administrators and oversaw the transaction. Dean Nelson comments “We are delighted to have completed the sale, ensuring security for the business and preserving 14 jobs. We understand this can be a difficult period for the staff involved, but their dedication and enthusiasm for the success of this family run organisation was remarkable.

We firmly believe there is plenty of opportunity for the Business to recover. There is great scope to increase its turnover by supplying products and services to local businesses as well as the DIY market with online products. This can be achieved by increasing its presence, targeting the domestic sector more heavily and telemarketing to its existing customer base.”

During the sale, Smith Cooper was assisted by Howes Percival Solicitors.
