The Government announced the introduction of the compulsory living wage. This is set higher than the national minimum wage which is currently a key focus of HMRC’s attention with them undertaking many reviews of adherence to the regulations.
Businesses need to ensure they have the requisite systems and paperwork to support the amounts paid to employees.
