We are celebrating having three Audit Graduates pass their final ACA exams.
Nicola Whiting (Nottingham), Dean Stevens (Derby) and Alex Smith (Derby) passed their finals with flying colours, becoming fully fledged Chartered Accountants under the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW).
This follows George Cumming (Derby) who also qualified earlier on in the year.
Of their achievements, Managing Partner of the firm James Bagley said: “We are delighted that our trainees continue to thrive and prosper, and the recent accomplishments are testament to this. Smith Cooper has always prided itself on our commitment to training our staff and continuing to nurture and recognise the future talent in the accountancy profession. We are sure that Nicola, Dean, Alex and George are relieved that their studying is behind them now and wish them the very best in their prospective careers.”
We currently have 16 trainees studying for the ACA qualification and 7 ACCA trainees across the firm, based at our offices in Nottingham, Derby, Birmingham, Leicester, Ashbourne, Telford and Buxton. We also offer specialist training including Chartered Institute of Tax, Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency, Joint Insolvency Examinations Board and Corporate Finance qualifications through the ICAEW and the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments.
Prime examples of our commitment to investing in our staff are Managing Partner James Bagley and Partner James Delve, both of whom trained and qualified at Smith Cooper before rapidly progressing to Partner level.
James Bagley added: “We have always regarded our staff as our most important asset. By ensuring they have the best training available to help them achieve their full potential, we have gained an excellent reputation for retaining our staff and for allowing them to progress through the ranks on merit.”
We also offer independent financial advice, Sage software sales and support, managed IT services and mortgages.
