Smith Cooper Independent Financial Solutions (SCIFS) is welcoming a new member of its team this month. Adam Carter has relocated from London to join our independent financial advisor division where he will be the Investment Director.
Working in this newly-created post reporting to Managing Director Richard Garside, Adam will be responsible for building investment strategies to meet the life goals of SCIFS’ clients.
SCIFS specialises in wealth management, inheritance tax planning and investments for both individuals and corporates and currently manages funds in excess of £120 million.
Adam joins from Seven Investment Management where, as Discretionary Investment Manager he was responsible for business development in the financial intermediary arena and the provision of investment management expertise to existing and prospective clients. He is a Chartered Wealth Manager and was previously an Investment Adviser at St James’s Place Partnership where he managed ultra-high net worth assets for leading hedge fund managers.
Adam says: “SCIFS has a very experienced and talented group of people, so I am really looking forward to working with them and being at the forefront of financial planning. It is an opportunity to be part of a forward thinking and fast developing company who recognise clients’ needs before their own and who build deep trusted relationship with those around them.”
Richard Garside says: “It’s an exciting time in the development of SCIFS and once we had identified that there was a need to strengthen the senior team, Adam was a natural choice due to his experience. It is recognition of the success of SCIFS that we can attract staff from London and this appointment will allow us to take the company to the next level.”
Adam is currently based in the Burbage office.
