Making partner: Smith Cooper appoints new Corporate Finance Partner

Smith Cooper continues its expansion of its specialist services in Birmingham with the latest appointment of a Corporate Finance Partner, Darren Hodson. Darren is a prominent and highly respected figure in the business community.

The appointment comes after the firm announced significant growth in Birmingham following the recent addition of Insolvency Practitioner Nick Lee and the appointment of Jackie Hendley to Head of Office.

Darren will be joining a team of eight corporate finance specialists based in various offices across the Midlands. In his new role, Darren will be using his 12 years of experience and broad skill set developed in previous roles including advising on sales, acquisitions, buy-outs, finance raising and strategic reviews to deliver best quality advice to businesses across the West Midlands.

The firm also announced the promotion of Natasha Smith to Tax Advisory Partner with both appointments in effect from 1 April.  Jackie commented: “Natasha has planned a key part in the growth of our tax practice and we are delighted for her now to be joining the partnership”.
