About Us
Smith Cooper was founded in 1985 and is one of the
Midlands’ most progressive firms of accountants
and business advisors. We have nine offices across
the Midlands - in Derby, Burton, Nottingham, Leicester,
Birmingham, Alfreton, Ashbourne, Ilkeston and Buxton.
In 2007, we merged with Blythens, one of Nottingham’s
oldest accountancy practices. Both Blythens and Smith
Cooper have a reputation for the strength of the relationships
they build with their clients and the quality of advice
that they provide and this made the merger a perfect
fit for both parties.
Along with general compliance
services, we have dedicated corporate finance, specialist
tax, corporate recovery and insolvency teams, as well
